Love it! Memories...
your childhood sounds alot more fun than mine!
Hey, I was born in Phoenix in the 1960's and 70s. Much of this applies to me too.
I remember their being oleanders along black canyon freeway too. We lived at 30th Ave & Bell, and my grandparents lived in Maryvale, we used to take the 17 down to Indian School and I remember getting off the freeway when you saw the big 5 on the Channel 5 building (where Wallace & Ladmo aired) My brownie troop was on there once.
Thanks for the laughs
That is totally hillarious!! Where did you find that or are you so creative Tara?? Hope you have a Great New Year!!!!
Mindy
Whew!!! That was fun!! Brought back LOTS of good memories. Westridge Mall, Valley West, Metro-center, Legend City. . .boy you pretty much mentioned all of my old stomping grounds! :)
Hi, I was "the Iceman" on Kelly and Company on KZZP back in the mid to late 80's before we moved to Y95! It was great to read these memories and see KZZP listed there! We had some fun! on the air!
I echo what someone earlier said...if you were there in the 60's and 70's, a lot of it still applied...also remember the scent of orange blossoms on a spring evening, especially driving around Central and Northern.
I remembered Saturday mornings at Christown Theatre to see Wallace & Ladmo & watch Saturday movie
I remember Village Inn Pizza Parlor on Friday nights! Best pizza we ever had!!! ALL YOU COULD EAT PIZZA & MOVIE!!!!
Does anyone here remember Chuck E Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre at 43rd and Thomas. It was a very early version of current day Chuck E Cheese's. I believe it opened in 1982. I thought Pistol Pete's was from the 90's. It was close to the CECPTT.
