Cheap Entertainment

Today is Saturday. My chores day. And guess what I'm NOT doing? CHORES.

I sit near a bunch of boys at work that are the TV show "Lost" fanatics. It's all they talk about. I live with a roommate who is also a "Lost" fanatic. I work with an executive who couldn't believe I've never seen the show "Lost" and asked me what kind of ridiculous shows DO I watch if not "Lost."

Hmm, maybe they're all trying to tell me something?

I went to my local public library yesterday and guess what I found? The first three seasons of "Lost" on DVD that I could check out. I've avoided this show for the past four years - why in the world should or would I start on it now?

Because it's summer and I will be here in town alone for most of it, and heck, why not jump on the bandwagon?

So instead of chores and weekly grocery shopping and even getting dressed or showered for that matter, I'm sitting on the couch, completely enthralled in "Lost." Totally addicted already.

But heck, it's free entertainment and I aint spending any money. How's that for justification? (Mom, you would be so proud!)

Tara... I'm with you on the whole "LOST" hype. Richard and I haven't seen one episode yet. HOWEVER, we decided that this would be our new summer goal... to catch up on the first few seasons of LOST. Happy watching!

Paul and I did the same thing. Several months ago he decided to watch it and we ended up watching all three seasons on the Internet. We finally caught up by this year's season finale.

Tara,
I've never seen it either, but all our friends go crazy over it. Tell me if it's worth my time. After all, you're the one who turned me on to Twilight, my favorite book series of ALL time! BTW, I couldn't quit laughing at the conversation either. He is outnumbered...

I have to admit, we are a part of the "Lost" audience. I think you are actually better off starting late in the game. Some episodes and seasons left you wanting too much more. Now you have access to it all! Kudos for the cheap entertainment too. If you get too bored we'll just have to invite you over to stare at Adam and laugh with us as we watch him "try" to become coordinated. (ie- he bonks himself of the head a lot lately)

I love LOST! The same thing happened to us. Our friends couldn't stop talking about the show so 2 summers ago we rented the videos & blew through them. We are so addicted to the show now..

I am a LOST LOVER! You are so lucky that you get to watch so much before it gets over. I watched season 1 and then 2. The problem is when you get done and up to date you will have to wait like everyone else and wait all week or even months for the next show. I never even thought about the library. Good thinking. We'll talk Lost when I get back.
