I have a confession...

One of the many ways I am trying to get out of debt is eliminating eating out, which is one of my most favorite things to do, especially at lunch during the work week since it's usually my only substantial meal of the day. But they are too expensive and that money could go towards my debt instead.

With this in mind I've been doing fairly well in bringing my lunch from home each day, including today.

I cheated and had some soup at Wildflower instead of eating my sandwich today. Sigh.

I am weak, but I must say it was delicious. I will get better...

I think it's like dieting though... if you "punish" yourself for too long and with hold everything you love, one day you might just crack and go crazy. What did a cup of soup cost you today? $2? Take it out of your grocery budget and use a coupon next time you grocery shop. Or buy generic. If you have a firm budget that is the absolute best possible scenario for getting out of debt, you can afford minor indulgences in extreme moderation. (Leave it to me to justify just about anything!)

REGARDLESS! I like the way you're thinking. AND isn't blogging fun?????

I agree with Jennifer, if you deny yourself of every urge when you diet one day you will eat an entire cake (trust me I have). You do need to afford yourself a "treat" every so often so you don't break. A cup of soup satisfied that "treat" and your back on track!! Way to go with your book selling as well. You are so great!!!!

I must admit, personally, I, or I guess I should say, Mikey, is sad to know that you will not be going out to lunch at work anymore. I will miss your leftovers!
